And one game that's kind of below, underneath the surface, that's a similar spot.

Now they're going on the road to Georgia Southern, and they're like a four, four and a half point underdog.

Like that's a play on for Georgia Southern, for sure, for me.

I'm happy to move on.

So I was happy to see that.

I text him right after, and then I waited a couple days to text him a real one because App State won.

They won that game on Thursday night.

I think they're toast now.

Their strength of schedule is so weak.

With the odds, it's Boise plus 105, New Mexico plus 250, UTSA 6-1, and then Oregon State at plus 750.

yeah I completely agree with you and look you know I there's there could be an interesting discussion to be had here right where let's for the sake of argument say that Oregon State you know does beat Boise State whether it's you know in the championship game or here in the regular season They're fun.

But again, the thing is, let's just say hypothetically, all right? I'm not saying that.

But let's just say that all of a sudden NC State looks over, and if you haven't been paying attention, Dow Loggins is doing some things at App State, and I'm not saying he's in the mix for NC State.

I didn't see his name on the list.

But let's just say that NC State goes, ah, we're going to go with Dow Loggins.

Now you open up a pretty nice – mid-major job that's a great stepping stone in App State.

With App State all of a sudden considered for Kendall Briles, I think that's where you get worried about losing him, not to a big-name school.

Who else is on the cutout? I assume Sark wasn't going to be fired on Saturday night if they'd have blown a 24-3 lead.

You don't worry about a big name, I think, school coming.

Then you get blasted by Wake Forest.

Right in between that is a 10-point win over App State and a win over Louisville.

App State, by the way, Friday night went out and knocked James Madison out of the realm of the unbeaten.

To get embarrassed by Wake Forest and then go on the road and just get outplayed by Stanford, I just think it was one of those things where it's a final straw for the folks at NC State, and they get rid of him.

It was an abysmal defensive performance as well.

And obviously, right in the middle of the Sunbelt footprint is Not too far away from Troy.

That would be one of the benefits, right? We talk about these rivalries, and we got a good one this week in App State and Georgia Southern.

This one would bring back the battle for the old school bell, all right? That has been played more than 60 times.

So whereas South Alabama and Troy is a little bit of a manufactured rivalry, although a good idea, Uh, this one has it going back to the FCS days.

I mean, there's no standout team in the West.

I know James Madison lost that game at App State, but they're kind of the standout team overall in the East.

There's just no standout team in the West.

But I will tell you, now that the weeks have gone by, I really do think LaTeX is the class of the West.

Three turnovers that, I mean, don't get me wrong, the players make spectacular plays, but if I've got to count on my DM running 40 yards and making a running back fumble in order to win a game where I lay about 14, something is wrong.

You blew a two-and-a-half touchdown lead against App State, and then App State goes on to score three points against ODU the next week.

Like, so ODU got better resources than you? They got more money than you? Of course they don't.

So what do they have instead? Better coaches and a better scheme.

The one I'm going to go with is Appalachian State stunning Michigan in the last seconds.
