He has not been fired, not yet, although I have not checked X in the last 25 seconds, but Loxley on Tuesday did the weekly Tuesday press conference that he does during the season, and he stood by his struggling QB1, Malik Washington, who over Maryland's last two games has one touchdown pass versus six interceptions, including three pick sixes.
Yeah, I'll start by one.
He's our quarterback, and there's no doubt.
When you go into a game without the ability to consistently run the football, it puts a lot of pressure on a young quarterback.
And we know the injury bugs that we had at that position.
And so a lot of pressure was put on Malik to throw the ball and to do things throwing the ball, which when you throw the ball as much as we have, you'll have some.

Those are 400 level things that people are doing because of the talent he has at quarterback.
His first pick was a Seven up, seven guys lined up at the line of scrimmage and the defensive end drops out in what we call simulated pressures.
And those are the new things that he now can add to a toolbox.
He's the type of guy, once he makes a mistake like that, he very rarely makes the same mistake.
The second one, bracket coverage, thought it was man underneath, they gave it a vision of man.
So he's seeing a little more complicated coverages than what he maybe has seen before.
And it's because of what he's shown he's able to do throwing the football.
