Tasting Notes - With Bryn and Jaff
Sep 19, 2026 · 44 min · 11 segments
Well...it''s a bit of a strange edition...Jaff is off barreling his way around Australia so in an act of solidarity, Bryn has chosen an Australian Chardonnay to sip on during this weeks episode…
The label is, it's all right.
So that's nice.
It's quite understated.
It's not the most exciting.
I would probably give it a three, I think.
Ooh, this is weird.
This is strange, not having someone to bounce my conversation off.
But I've got you lovely people to listen to me, so that'll see me through.
It is a crack, as a lot of white wines are, especially ones from Asda.
So let's crack on with the crack.
That was pathetic.
Absolutely awful that was.
I'm going to give that a 1.5.
It was almost non-existent, that crack.
It's lucky that I did remember a glass.
Because usually Jaf provides the glasses, I am at the studio and there are no glasses in the studio, but I did bring a glass.
However, I have an admission which is ridiculous for someone who is a co-host of a wine podcast.
I don't own any wine glasses.
So what I'm pouring my wine into is a whiskey tumbler because I have plenty of whiskey glasses.
So I'm just going to pour myself a little bit.
And I'm going to have a look at the colour.
It's very pale, but Chardonnays often are pale.
It's very straw-coloured.
It looks a little bit like white vinegar, to be honest, or like apple cider vinegar.
