Nirvana

Out of

how many songs? So out of 2,000 songs, you had 40 Foo Fighters songs, and you had 23 of your Nirvana songs made it in as well.

That's crazy.

You'd realize, though, that you are firmly in New Zealand's DNA, though.

You realize Nirvana and Foo Fighters.

You'd realize that now.

well you know i've always always loved coming to new zealand the last trip that we had there we had a beautiful time um the people are always so sweet and i will leave you with the quote my favorite quote from new zealand ever was when them crooked vultures were down there doing a tour and we were doing an interview with a journalist who is from New Zealand.

I'm going to another radio station, but I'm leaving The Rock.

example.

Nirvana opened for somebody.

I don't have any idea who now, but they opened for somebody there.

Pretty well everybody in that time period coming up played there.

So, you know, just a ton of those kind of things.

Yeah.

You know, and like I said, we did Nirvana.

We did No Doubt.

So with that, we wanted everybody to be able to come in and enjoy and see what we've created with the amphitheater.

So that's why on November 14th, we have Heart-Shaped Box, which is an Nirvana tribute.

And then we have Ordinary Boys, which is a Smiths tribute band, Vintage Cowboys, and A Foreigner's Journey to Boston.

So that starts in the afternoon on the 14th, and everybody can come in and they can enjoy it.

I was inspired by her cassette tapes growing up because I'm 10 years younger.

Your cassette tape of Nirvana's Unplugged in New York made me really interested

in music with the guitars.

And then when I moved to Germany, where I live currently, She obviously helped me a lot, she hosted me and she helped me financially.

Jake said that a lot during his arguments with the

Nirvana woman.

Furthermore.

Nothing burger.

I feel like I don't like it.

There's a Nirvana song in there somewhere.

It's gotta be.

It smells like teen spirit.

Yeah.

I guess the one to me is like the one that I always remember was Nirvana.

Oh, yeah.

When they smashed up the whole stage.

The rappers have been feuding since the 90s.

And in 2019, the beat-up sweater Kurt Cobain wore in Nirvana's MTV Unplugged special sold at an auction for $334,000.

After Cobain died, Courtney Love gave it to the family's nanny, who sold it to pay for cancer treatments.

That's the Gen X Files for October 26, 2026.

So as a kid, I'm 48.

The early 90s, we're talking music, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, all those guys.

They owned the music scene back then.

You also have this small little company called Microsoft creating lots of millionaires in that area.
