I was getting older, and the people were getting rough, the customers and the younger generation, and I was alone in that great big place with my sister, so I decided to sell.
The demolition of Mangum's was set to begin the day after the fire, a fact that most Lyons residents don't see as a coincidence.
There's several fires that people will tell you about in this town.
One is Petticoat's.
The other one is going to be the Milbridge Roller Rink, and the big one, of course-
... is Mangum's chateau.
They were all arsons.
There was no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
Everybody knew that it was arson.
The reason Mangum's is the big one is because that was Halloween night.
You grew up in this town.
What did you do on Halloween night? They had the burning of the witch.
They didn't have it that year.
[laughs] They had the burning of Mangum's.

As the smoke clears from the inferno that claimed Mangum's chateau- Local activist and Little League mom, Judy Petrucci, unlocks another level on her way to hero status when she graduates Lewis University with a bachelor's in political science and administration.
And while Aunt Mary may have planted the seed, it's a side comment by her nemesis that kicks off Judy's next pursuit.
She would want to speak, and he once made some snotty remark about, "What do you think, you're a lawyer?" And that set her off that she would be a lawyer.
[instrumental music plays] Judy drives the 55 to 294 to 88 to 53, 20 miles, and pulls her Pinto into the parking lot of Lewis University's College of Law, eager to face the next challenge.
