We're back! With another episode of Talkin' Shift - this time back at the studio to recap everything from our Alaska trip. We talk about the stories you missed, we ragebait Witty with some BMW jargon…
But talking about the car launch specifically, because we just got back from that.
We just debuted that video a day and a half ago, two days ago.
That
was a good time.
That was, we sent over 30 cars this time.
I think that's the most cars they've ever had at the car launch.
Oh yeah.
Uh, we did have a bit of a delay in the middle of it.
Yeah.
The fire dude.
Oh my goodness.
There was just like a little baby fire in one of the cars and like, ah, whatever, it'll go out.
And then long story short, it turned into like a five car flaming blaze where if you're standing in the wrong part of the crowd, you can feel the fire.
Yeah, I was at the top of the hill, and they were talking about it on the walkie, like, hey, should we put this fire out? Nah, it's not that bad.
Like, we look over the cliff, we see the fire, and then you guys keep talking about it, and I can't see over the cliff, and then I just see smoke start to billow out thicker and thicker, and then we stopped.
And then there was an actual, like, the fire was contained to one car, and because all the cars were going in the same area, all of a sudden, four cars went up in flames real quick.
Well, they were going in the same area because didn't they have an idea up there? They were going to try and put out the fire by crashing a car into the fire.
They
did say that.
We're just going to send more cars on top of it.
That'll put the fire out.
I don't know if they realized they were just adding fuel to the fire.
Quite literally, yeah.
But, uh, then we had Dustin who helps run the event and he got into a D eight dozer and I've never seen so much power in my lifetime.
It was pushing full loads of earth, the size of the dozer with eight cars in front of it.
