SuperTalk Eagle Hour 10/19/2026

Marsha and Kenny are going to join us a little later in the show as we talk about the 23-13 loss Saturday night to Arkansas State.

Golden Eagles now 1-5 on the season.

And, I don't know, Dima, you cover all the games.

I mean, we don't want to be negative.

We want to try to reach for the positive.

But right now, it's just not a very effective football team.

Right.

And, you know, saying not being negative is different than just reporting what's happening.

Right.

And what's happening is pretty negative.

And so this is the now fifth, fifth one in five start for Southern Miss since 2020. fifth so five out of seven years they've started one in five yeah and it's just not it's just not a good football team I mean I don't know how else other to describe it than that you know the defense actually played pretty good on Saturday which was a great to see from them after what they did at Troy you know Arkansas State with just two and a half yards of carry 161 yards on the ground yes but you know I'll take two and a half yards a carry every day of the week on 51 carries.

You know, their quarterback, Arkansas State's quarterback, never seemed to really get in a rhythm.

He was like 70% – like the defense played great.

And then the other side of the ball was just nonexistent.

Landry Liddy, I thought, had one of his worst starts that I've seen.

Two interceptions.

Should have been three.

They just had it called back on a – Roughing the passer call that I thought was kind of a whatever call.

It kind of could go either way.

Steven Robinson ran it well.

Nobody really was getting open from the receiver's perspective.

There's a lot of miscommunication.

They'd be throwing the ball.

There wouldn't even be a receiver over there.

The special teams was atrocious.
