Murphy's law

But because I was, we were on a day at sea too.

We weren't even going into a port, which is of course like Murphy's law, bad luck.

And so the show was at like three in the afternoon or something.

And then this is all transpiring, but we're still not at, land like we're not going to land yet so the next day we landed and we ended up landing in Tenerife in the Canary Islands and they immediately got me off the ship and got me in a taxi and took me right to a hospital in Tenerife a stroke unit well I don't even know if it was a stroke unit or if it was just like an emergency MRI

Um, real quick before I let you go, what, what is, uh, I always, I don't know why Candace Sullivan talks to me because I always, I always say, is this the year you're going to win? Like I always just like, I'm on him about it all the time on TV.

Like, you know, I always say Murphy's Law because obviously there's martial law, Murphy's Law, anything that can go wrong will go wrong.

And sometimes that's happened for him, but he is such an amazing driver.

And he, anytime Monster Jam needs a driver to bring in a new truck, it seems like Camden is the guy because he is such a positive influence.

If they do have a complement of defensemen, is it Matt and Paolo or is it Yakumchuk?

See, the more we talk, the more there's probably going to be a Murphy's Law injury.

So why don't you just be quiet? You're scaring Sens fans.

I'm bringing it on, though.

And so that is one of my more crazier rental property stories, fix or flip.

Again, I've had one that went completely south and it was almost like Murphy's Law was just in full effect.

I was feeling everything from Being over budget to having the wrong contractor to just everything under the sun really put me in a hole.

And I remember you mentioned in one of your stories where you're just talking like you just did real quickly about how you were in a position where life was just caving in and you're barely getting any sleep.

It's called the special enrollment period.

You technically have eight months, but you know Murphy's law, You know what happens when you don't have health insurance for eight months? That's when you actually get sick or get injured.

So I always recommend, I'm sure Ari always recommends, a couple of three months, you know, before you're going to lose that health insurance, go ahead and sign up for Part A, Part B, B if you've already done A, and then find something to cover all those gaps, Medicare supplement, Medicare Advantage plan.

And that way, one, your health insurance from work, ends at the end of one month, and everything else starts the next day of the next month.

We shouldn't change that.

But you might call it kind of Murphy's law that it was one measure in several that was the only one that

missed.

So it's sort of like the headline measure.

He was clearly a little bit off.

But I had a commentary on Murphy's Law before the season started that No Big Ten team has had more success without getting to the college football playoff than Iowa.

And what has kept Iowa from getting there is a quarterback.

And at Washington, it did look like, okay, this is a potential college football team because that guy's ceiling is so much higher than anybody we've seen.

And sometimes I play the game, am I smarter than Waze? And I lose a lot of times when it tells me to divert and I think, oh, the freeway looks okay.

As soon as I ignore it, I get Murphy's law thrown in my face and I'm stuck in a queue when I should have listened to the, change in navigation directions to get to my destination on time.

So a number of TTI staff in our urban offices work there while being associated with other parts of our org chart.

Like me, many of our colleagues joined TTI because the urban office locations allowed us to work for TTI where we live.
