The Syndicate is back! Week 1/Season Preview

JMU enters week one off a college football playoff series.

appearance and a championship in the Sun Belt, obviously, that helped them get there.

The first question is going to be, you know, can they do it again? Can they repeat not only in the Sun Belt? Can they somehow find their way to that college football championship? And we'll see if they can do that.

Any quick thoughts? We don't want to give too much away, TJ, but any quick thoughts on that week one matchup we're going to preview here in a minute?

Like you said, we'll get to it here shortly, but I do know that if JMU doesn't necessarily win this game, it's going to have a ripple effect.

It's going to affect a lot of teams throughout the conference in a multitude of ways.

So I'm anxious to see kind of how this plays out.

And it's a good little litmus test for JMU.

Let's find out who they are.

And, you know, there's again, you know, they had a great year last year and they've been, you know, They've been pretty good, well, better than pretty good, super solid over the last several years.

But better last year than I thought they'd be, losing as much as they lost.

But there's a lot to prove to me in this first matchup against them.

Absolutely.

Totally agree with that.

It's a great first week matchup.

So that's why we'll be focusing them as we go along this year.

One thing that we're going to include is kind of having a team of focus or a team of the week, school of the week, if you want to call it that.

And we'll also have a game of the week, obviously.

This week happens to have James Madison as both.

So kind of an easy one for us to get into, but also just makes a lot of sense with where they ended last year, where they're starting this year.
