Mario Easterly

Now, I have a crappy memory, so I don't remember who said this.

It was either two press conferences ago, and it was Mario Thompson, or it was Mario Easterly this past week.

But they talked about needing to just focus on themselves.

It didn't really matter who they were playing.

He's been playing extremely well, and he's kind of a guy that kind of gets overlooked.

When you have a guy like Brandon Crutchfield and Zion Frink and Mario Easterly, you can forget about some of these other guys that have a big impact.

And Davon had a huge impact again last night.

Really good game.

Coming off the edge, Javon Gibson has two and a half sacks already in a forced fumble.

And safety Mario Easterly has 10 tackles and an interception.

And then, you know, looking at the secondary to Zion Frank has eight tackles and a forced fumble at cornerback.

You know, all those guys are on the team last year.

He is, I believe, third on the team in tackles thus far.

On the back end, you've got Mario Easterly, who's an all-Sunbelt Conference preseason.

pick Brandon Crutchfield off to a good start as well and he's got Zion Frank on the corner and he's been playing well but it's the consistency the fact that you need the entire 11 to be playing as an ensemble and we're still working out those kinks

Ted, man, can ODU make it out of September? What a stretch here at Virginia Tech, ECU, and then James Madison.
