NCAA Football Week 3 Review Week 4 Preview - Sun Belt

Last week, I opened by looking at the Sun Belt versus all the other conferences overall.

We're gonna do the same thing again because this past weekend was, quite frankly, the worst weekend in Sun Belt football so far.

Obviously, maybe not for your team specifically, uh, although, you know, the odds are that it might include your team because the overall record was not where we wanted it or how we wanted it.

Uh, but we did start with that last week.

I like that look.

I like how we can take that and compare that to other conferences.

We'll also do that part right now as well.

Um, but let's start first by looking at the Sun Belt by themselves.

So this is a closer look, and it's gonna be called part two since we started it last week.

Uh, but last week we talked about weeks one and two.

Uh, week one, we went 10 and four overall as a conference outside of, of the Sun Belt play that we'll see throughout the remainder of the season.

Week two, we went seven and seven, and week three, we went five and nine overall.

So again, you can see that weekly total has dropped significantly, uh, partly because the competition's gotten better, right? We had a lot of FCS match-ups in week one, not as many in week two, only one in week three, and yeah, we lost that one, so not great there.

Uh, but we will continue to work on those things as we go forward.

As we take a look at this, uh, again, our record versus the FCS is now just 12 and one.

It was a perfect 12 and O before last weekend.

Uh, Big Ten, didn't play any of those opponents this weekend, but we did go O and three against the Big Ten previously.

Uh, we also had some more match-ups with the Big 12, still winless versus the Big 12.

We did have some respectable match-ups versus the Big 12 there, but again, O and three against another power conference, uh, opponent or, or opponents, I guess I should say.

Conference USA, we were looking really good.

We're still looking fairly good there, uh, but we did take some hits this past weekend.

We are five and two right now against Conference USA, so definitely not terrible.

Uh, we'd like it to be a perfect record, of course, but five and two against Conference USA.

Only one game against the MAC thus far.

South Alabama took out Ohio, so we have a one and O record versus the MAC.
