Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens football

Well, what did you think about the first half game playing offensively?

I think, again, and I've said this, NC State, Austin Peay, and Delaware, we ease into the game.

I don't know if they're getting into it with the coach's mentality to try to get Jared comfortable.

I'm not sure.

Vanderbilt hasn't seen, you know, the talent of this Auburn offensive line yet.

They've seen, you know, Delaware, Austin Peay, and NC State, three teams that aren't at SEC caliber.

So it'll be interesting to see what they do.

And so I'm excited to see that.

Bet number two is gonna be on the Virginia Cavaliers, minus the 20 at the minus 110.

They're taking on the Blue Hens of Delaware.

So Delaware is also three and O against the spread.

They're two and one on the season.

They kept it within single digits against Vanderbilt.

They beat Coastal last week, but after watching Coastal this week, I don't know if that's saying much.

I expect this to be a much tougher afternoon for the Blue Hens against a good Cavalier football team.

So give me Virginia here to win by p- three-plus touchdowns.

Again, probably banking on Florida State blowing UCA out, thus being able to change screens or change, you know, kick over.

Is Virginia next week's opponent, the pivotal Virginia Cavalier game next week, taking on Delaware, hosting Delaware.

Delaware, the Blue Hens, you know, made that jump up from being an FCS power into the FCS.

Yes, they're competitive and they're good and they could probably give Virginia a little bit of a game.

Virginia not looking as tough as we thought a couple weeks ago coming off the decisive loss to West Virginia.

And so we'll see if they can kind of continue to pick up on that.

I don't think we'll get to see them really play from behind this weekend against Delaware.

But at Florida State, that's going to be the test.

Let's keep tossing around some big picture ideas because everybody likes to think of the schedule in terms of how we were considering it back in August and things certainly shift and dynamics change.

Virginia is not going to get an at-large bid.

They have to get to the title game and win.

So the Delaware game, you just want to stay healthy at this point for me.

But I want to hear your thoughts on who you've shifted on Virginia's schedule either up or down.

Then we go to New Haven at Merrimack 1 p.m. on ESPN+.

Both teams come in at 1-3 with New Haven having been tested against South Dakota State and Brown, while Merrimack has played URI, Delaware, and Tarleton State, a top-five team.

in the country.

So what to watch for in this one? New Haven's run game against Merrimack's defensive front.

I just think Temple should be the favorite in this matchup.

And Casey Keeler is a program builder going back to his time at Delaware.

He knocks off big-time opponents.

He is 6-2 against the spread in his career as a home dog of seven or less.
