Paolo Joseph LisingHostBut before that, what, why Taiwan? How did you end up coming into this, um, location for halfway across the globe?

Yeah, it's, it's one of those things, honestly, Paulo, that people don't really talk much about.

So I think it's, you know, when you work in such a fast-moving environment like in London, especially it was around the time when there was this startup boom.

So basically, you know, before, if you wanted to be rich, you would do finance.

And then suddenly around, like, early 2010, 2015, all of those people started to be like, "Hey, if you want to get rich, you have to do startups," right? So we were became this, this, you know, like lighthouse.

And so when everyone, uh, is, is working on startups and trying to be rich and trying to create the next big thing, um, sometimes you, you reach a burnout.

So I was working for banking, and the banking w- was one type of burnout where it was more like, "Hey, you can't really do what you want to do," which is honestly a little bit upsetting for a motivated young graduate.

And then on the other side, when I went into, uh, startup industry, uh, the speed, um, of, like, all of the technology that's changing and the competition, and I think it's just, it's just completely different world when you do it in London compared to anywhere else, especially as, as somebody who is- ... quite f- like, fairly fresh in the market.

And so basically, just to answer your question short, um, I had good savings from working in banking, and then I still was highly motivated to open something of my own.

I just wanted to take my own time, uh, and not rush, not just, like, build things for the sake of building, but actually take my time.

And then I thought, "What would be environment where my savings would let me to kind of have more runway-"

... and take my time to build something?" And actually, honestly, my initial choice, I actually wanted to go to Japan.

And so we were working on, on a kind of like a, um, local proximity sensor app where you walk around and, like, y- it's almost like an indoor GPS type of app.
