I think after the races in the motel, they come and stole all of our beer out of the truck.

And he was just nuts.

Boomer was, but he said, I got some hidden truck.

I went and found it and hid it.

It was a couple of 12 packs.

He had under the sleeper.

Okay.

Well, he was, then he was really crazy, you know, but Boomer was a good guy to work for.

He was, you know, he was intelligent and stuff, you know?

Yeah.

He would

work on motors at the shop there before he got his own shop going, you know.

Because we built those nine-to-ones.

That's when they designed that nine-to-one, him and Mike Miller and Tom and them, you know.

So he had to have special pistons made and stuff like that, you know, but.

But it all worked out pretty good.

It was a pretty cheap way to race, you know.

Right, yeah.

And they had a deal that we'd start on Wednesdays and go the whole, or Sundays sometimes, and go the whole week on the same tires.

Same tire, yeah.

And nobody was supposed to change tires.

Well, Mike Miller jumped in and bought some new tires for a couple races.

So that broke down all the shit, you know.

And...

So we had to start spending more on tires, too, you know.
