Ep. 831 - Soap Party - BREAKING NEWS! NEW HEADWRITERS ON Y&R!

Dan has not posted anything just yet, but Jamie has.

And I want to read what Jamie wrote, because I think everybody is saying the same thing right now.

For those who have been rocking with Jamie for 25 years, plus when he used to write fan fics, He was talking about Don Light ideas.

Like, if Don Light was still in the air, da-da-da-da-da, all this stuff, to somebody who respects the genre as much as we do, who went out there and said, you know what, F it.

I'm going to create my own with, you know, Rich and the Ruthless with Victoria Raul.

Then went over to Ambitious, okay? Then he wrote for Sisters, for Tyler Perry, right? Then he goes over there and he said Days of Our Lives.

Then he goes over to Beyond the Gate.

When I tell you, You know that saying, the American dream? And for the wrestling fans, I mean, I know y'all are going to say Dusty Rhodes.

I know that.

But Jamie is living proof that you don't take no for an answer.

And when so many doors get slammed in your face, You go ahead and you create your own opportunity.

And that's why I think a lot of people, I'm just going to go right off the bat and say this.

I think everybody is so happy for him right now because all of us have had some kind of interactions with Jamie.

And I'm just really, I'm going to say this.

I'm proud of him, okay? And so this is what he wrote 47 minutes ago.

I'm sorry.

A bit of news to share.

I recently accepted the co-head writer position at CBS's daytime, the young and the restless.

I'll be running the soap writers room with the amazing Dan O'Connor.

This is a dream come true.

I've watched young and Russell since I was a child or knee high to a duck.

As my grandma would say, I am so grateful to CBS, Sony TV, Bell dramatic series company for this opportunity.

Um, Now, some of you guys know Josh Griffin is, he was, well, he left, okay? Point blank, he left, he rolled out, and then Young and the Russells was on hiatus.

We had speculated that we would probably get the news between now and when their new season, well, the CBS season premiere of all their shows, which is late September, early October, was going to start.

There were so many names that people, you know, passed around, like, you know, Ron Calvati.
