Why are you still watching ESPN? Who the hell watches ESPN? Did you find that out by checking it on MySpace? Yes.

Do you read about it in an AOL chat room? Do you talk to your friends over a Blockbuster? I mean, ESPN was a dominant force in sports pretty much from the late 80s right up until I'd say the early 2010s.

But I honestly can't...

Oh, no, it's not true.

And, and so, um, really when I stop and think about it, it's, it's looking at the competition globally, like who's, who's going to win the, the AI race and, um, The way that kind of historically this has played out, if we go all the way back to the late 90s, and I'm referencing the dot-com era, right? And so during that time period, there was several different search engines that were being developed.

We had Netscape Navigator, AOL, Yahoo, all of these.

Well, along comes Google and they essentially won the search competition.

So now it's who's going to be the winner of this AI technology race? Who's going to be the Google and who's going to be the Netscape navigator? And I think that that is yet to be seen.

I didn't get that gig, but it was like, oh, man, that was the beginning.

Is that AOL? Yes, brother.

I mean, how long ago was that? So my poor voice agent, he calls me up every once in a while, Jerry Jordan.

Danny, it's been a tough year for the voice business, but I got something for you.

Um, but I started, so I went out to the local health food store, And because the Internet was pretty young back then, there was really that Google didn't exist.

And a lot of search engine Yahoo was kind of a little bit, you know, and AOL was out there barely.

But, you know, so I went down to the health food store, bought a book on spirulina.

And then I found out I saw this other one about chlorella.

Foul back two and two to Tilly Davis.

And we'd like to welcome the folks online with us tonight on America Online.

Something we've done twice before with great success and will be accepting questions about the ball game and answering them tonight.

And the punchline of the whole story is three months after I joined Studio Now, we sold the company to AOL.

And now I didn't get rich in that deal, but I was able to dig out of a significant hole that I had dug for myself.

Yeah.

And that's before AOL was sold to Turner.

That's right.

Yeah.

So, you know, we all had an AOL account.

We had...

And then my – usually people contact me through the website or my email address on my phone.

People find their ways to contact me when they're in dire need.

went from New Balance, then you graduated, presumably you went to PopSugar post-graduation.

Well, secret is that I actually did a, I did a three month stint at AOL.

That's how, again, I'm dating myself, but I never like, so, and this is a good example of like, you know, don't do this.

But I went out of business when I literally quit my job after three months.
