I love, I love that because, uh, a lot of times I think it, that we're afraid to just kinda lean into who we are or who we wanna...

Like, you know, and it's just like, "Oh, I gotta do what they're doing," and um, you know, I posted the other day, I think on Twitter or Threads, that I'm happy that I'm seeing a lot of work moving away from this timeless, classic vibe that I have, that I've had for a long time, because it got trendy for a while, and I'm just like, "Oh, no, I'm not trendy."

"I'm not a trendy guy." And it's kind of m- especially on the wedding film side, it's moved more towards like this Wes Anderson style, which I think is fun, but it's not me, and it's like b- it was r- it was great, but also rough for a couple years when everybody was just kind of felt like they were trying to do the same thing.

And so sticking to your guns of who you are and building the brand around that, I think what you said, I wanna pull out.

Oh, Jose Villa is great at this, and this per- like you get ins- inspiration- And then you elevate and you take it to another level that's you, and there's this process in the artist's, you know, tr- journey where you're like, this is ...

I wanna do stuff, but then you get into your weddings and how you are and what you're ...

You kinda build this, your own thing, and the more that you can find that, the quicker you can find that and lean into it, that's when I have seen success with a lot of people.

Did you have any of that happening, kinda? What, what happened with, you know, that first few years once it started really popping?

So Maui pre-pandemic, pre-fires, was one of the, like, most premier wedding destinations, okay? There was no less, no less than 30 to 50 weddings a day, seven days a week on that island.

And now we're talking, like, these are like, you know, a lot of, like, two-hour shotguns on the beach, every hotel, the private estates, you know, so there was a lot of action.

Um, videography still was in its, like, early days, 2010, of really getting v- as popular as it is now with weddings, but I mean, everyone, everyone I knew identified as a wedding photographer on Maui, right?
