Sarah SpotoHostAnd I think partly related to my research, for some reason, when I think of genre fiction, I think of romance and horror novels.
Which are so, which are very different, but I think for me that they do sort of similar things, whereas like horror is sort of showing us these things or like reflecting things that are, you know, scary about our reality.
And then romance is sort of like, wouldn't it be great if this is how things were? Like, wouldn't it be great if you could walk into a coffee shop and there really was a guy who like acted this way? Yeah.
So I mean, I guess I read I read some romance, not a ton of it, but I like reading it alongside.
Yeah, other other genres, but I do love I mean, there's nothing like, I don't know, the escape of a romance where it just you know that it's going to end happily like you know that the stakes are like probably not that high.
I mean, when I think about like, coat like cozy content, like romance is like one of my go to ones, especially this time of the year.

Because of that, and that's what I love about Heated Rivalry, it is such a cozy show.

are not familiar with the romance genre like at all and maybe like probably many people were coming at heated rivalry the show not knowing like the main trope of the romance genre was that there is a happy ending so like it would be a very different experience watching the show and not knowing if there was going to be a happy ending like yeah especially for a queer story too that's such a good point Yeah, you'd probably have a lot more anxiety.
