Sinners

And, and to an extent I think also IMAX is a brand.

And that's, that's the other thing where, you know, Ryan Coogler did this with Sinners last year, and the, the studios and the directors know that there is a growing young cinephile audience, and that part of going back to the theaters is also caring about the format.

And, and that hyping that up will engage people, and so far is working.

And I've had so many conversations with, you know, family members being like, "So do I need to go see it in 70 millimeter IMAX?" And I was like, "No-

But uh, getting to meet Danny Boyle and talk to him about, you know, Slumdog Millionaire and Ink and, and, uh, my first Telluride was 2015 where he had Steve Jobs, which I loved as well that year.

So getting to talk through all that, and then shortly after meet Jack O'Connell, who, um, was w- one of the stars of Sinners last year of course.

Uh, my s- younger son and I both loved that movie.

My, uh, younger son was starting to learn guitar, but really that movie kicked in that passion for him.

Yeah, there you go.

Um, so anyway, my son also then went as Jack's, uh, Remmick, his character in Sinners, for Halloween.

And so I showed Jack the, the picture of him in costume, and he loved it.

The sound may not be the best.

And to be honest, when you're having the whole thing boxed up like that, Sinner's had it too.

It's a lot of headroom.

And when you get the one nine, it just feels, you know, you're not getting a lot of really crazy shots like when the Giants come in, but it makes the whole movie feel more centered, framed a little bit better.

so that is one of the jewels of our collection that we, we, we received as a gift from the Lugosi family in 2019, and we have been restoring it.

Our conservation team has been, has been preserving it and getting it ready for display, so this is gonna be a really amazing moment, um, that is in dialogue with films such as Bram Stoker's Dracula, and Sinners, and, uh-

So the screen was pretty much really dark and I could see.
