I want to begin our conversation today in a moment of tragedy that happened with my family, which I've shared a little bit before.

It was during the COVID era that we decided to move like the whole world, and so many of you know we moved east to a little town called Port Hope, and In the middle of that move, we decided to get into a older house from 1875 and begin to restore it.

It had the ruins or the foundation of a coach house, which used to house the Ferraris known as horses.

And so what was left on the property was this semi-intact foundation of a coach house.

And so as we began the project of restoring and living in this house, the big decision for us for the future was to build a garage.

And we looked at the money and the time and everything it was gonna take, and we decided that we would build a brand new garage on the old foundation.

And so over a period of a year, it came together and looked beautiful and it was great to actually have a place and wonderful.

But of course it was always just a little wonky because the foundation was a little off.

And then right about a month after we'd finished building this, there was a horrific storm in our area.

And a month after, that fir tree snapped and destroyed everything we had just built.

This is a picture of, so if you can see the little orange man, that's one of the workers, and the tree snapped all the way up there.

If it had been two feet to the right, it would have gone right through my son's bedroom and killed him.

My car, which was a used car I was very excited about, I had bought a month before also.
