The Sleeper and the Bust Episode: 1528 – 2-Start Pitchers for Week 21

Let's get into some two-star pitchers.

Uh, we have a pretty dynamic board this week with some great names to go over.

Let's start with the auto starts.

Tarik Skubal, Paul Skenes, Dylan Cease, Brian Wood, Sonny Gray, Yuri Perez, Logan Henderson, Christian Scott, and Ronueris Suarez.

Scott, I think, was, is a repeat from last week, so I guess his two-step got pushed, 'cause I remember bringing him up, like I know that's kind of a new one, but I trust what he's been doing.

Anybody on the auto start board that you have an objection with?

Um, not really.

I think he's-

Feel pretty good about that group, right?

Yeah, I think you're starting all those guys.

I mean-

E- e- and even if it's a situation where, you know, maybe Scott isn't endlessly an auto start, like if the two-step goes poorly, I think for this week, I don't know how you could push off from him.

So let's get into our board proper then.

This guy maybe should've been on the auto starts, uh, if I'm being real, but I wanna talk about him and what he's been onto.

So I will start by saying I have no problem starting this guy everywhere, even coming off of a mediocre one at Boston just, uh, two days ago.

But Sean Burke is setting up for a two-step where he's gonna get Cincinnati coming to visit him, and then heading to Detroit.

That's gonna be the 30th and 66th ranked teams against, uh, righties in WOBA.

And so it's one up, one down.

Uh, division rival Tigers hitting well.

But, you know, I don't think that's gonna deter me from anything here.

Like I said, I'm starting him.

He's been di- he's been dialed in.

9 5 10 10, uh, were his strikeout totals in four starts before this tough one at Boston.

Four and a third, two runs, four strikeouts.

They kinda ran up his pitch count a bit, but he's been dialed in.
