And as I said, Puka Nikua, a bit of a concerning update coming out of Rams practice earlier today on a Saturday.

Now, I know you might be thinking, why are the Rams practicing on a Saturday? It's because they have a game on a Monday night.

And Stu Jackson, who writes for the Rams.com, has a bit of a concerning update from Sean McVay regarding the status of Puka Nikua that we will be getting to right now.

Sean McVay said that Puka Nakua will not practice today and be listed as questionable for Monday Night Football vs. the Giants.

Though Nakua is listed on the injury report with a hip injury, McVay described it as some soreness in Nakua's groin that popped up following Thursday's practice.

So, for those of you who may not remember all the way, Puka Nakua did have a psoas injury, which is something with the groin.

I don't know exactly if there's any medical professionals in the comments, sports medicine professionals.

Please feel free to let us know a more accurate medical opinion because I cannot do that here.

But overall, from the looks of it, it's a different injury, which is kind of a good thing, I guess, that it's not a flare-up.

of the so as because then maybe that would cause a further so as potentially but overall still not great that puka's hurt he didn't look hurt in week one he did have a pretty good game he led the team in catches yards receiving again the offense the team as a whole didn't look prepared for that game and then the travel had a lot to do with it but at the same time i didn't really think puka looked in jordan if we do look at obviously we know what pukunukuwa brings to the table for this rams offense but looking at it a little bit further here in 2026 he had five receptions for 74 yards in week one on nine targets but if you look at what he did in basically every year of his career so far but especially here in 2025 16 games played 129 receptions ranked first 1715 yards ranked second 10 receiving touchdowns ranked third 166 targets ranked fourth, 13.29 yards per catch, 80 receiving first downs ranked first, and one receiving fumble.

Puka at 6'2", 216, age 25, here at the beginning of his fourth season in the league.

Again, their connection, as soon as Stafford, well, as soon as Puka came in, because Stafford was already there, but as soon as Puka came in, their connection blossomed immediately.

When Cooper Cupp went out early in Nakua's rookie year, we just saw how great he was, and he's been great on the field ever since then.

And if he can't go, we saw this in London last year, Devontae Adams stepped up a lot, and a lot of different Rams caught touchdowns there.

and they beat a very good jaguars team in 35-7 in london and i think you could see definitely a similar type of a game plan heading into this week's game against the giants if that does happen now again the giants defensive line is something you got to really worry about getting pressure on staffer we saw the niners have a lot of success getting pressure in week one again Was that Ray Morris being more familiar with the Rams offensive scheme than a lot of other defensive coordinators? Potentially, but it also was not great play from the O-line as a whole.

abdul carter had a strong end to his rookie year last year looking to have a strong year two of arval reese top five pick in this year's draft and they still have cave on thibodeau as a rotational guy it was a top five pick a few years ago i still think he will be a great player in this league maybe not for the giants but for another team and this offensive line is going to have to be ready especially without puka nikua you're going to have to find some ways to stretch the field but obviously the main guy that's going to have to step up in Pukunukuwa's absence is going to be Devontae Adams.

We know what he's going to do in the red zone when targeted, but in week one, it just wasn't a good connection once again with Matthew Stafford, and that was really concerning because something Josh and I were both talking about in a lot of videos heading into this season was Stafford's healthy this preseason, and so is Devontae.
