And in fact, I mean, it was so so the rules were so strict that you weren't even allowed to buy a McDonald's cheeseburger for an athlete or it was an improper benefit.
Pay for play, NIL, making money off of athletics out of the entire sport as much as possible to where even again, the the most minor of transactions was deemed an improper benefit.
name, image, and likeness, the ability to make money off of, you know, third party endorsements off of revenue sharing, which was actually just took place last year.
There was the, uh, the settlement that allowed schools to pay 20 and a half million dollars, uh, to all athletes.
And it, uh, It really just was a matter of how much they want to divvy up the pie between all sorts of different sports.
A lot of it going to football one because of volume, but also because football is the money making sport for all of these athletic departments that exist.
And now it's they they are very careful in saying it's not pay for play because it's They're not employees.
So now it's it's just it is it's still revenue sharing and it's NIL and the the world has entirely changed in the college landscape.
