First, what do you make of what happened to Ricardo Gonzalez? And he said his his arm was broken and he was taken to the hospital.
So I have not spoken directly with the family and don't have any updates, but I certainly echo Congressman Garcia as well as the mayor of Long Beach in calling for an investigation into what happened.
It is horrifying to see ICE in the streets of Southern California brutalizing someone who's calling out for help, who's telling them that he's injured.
And it's telling to me that ICE, which is so quick through their social media channels to condemn people, to charge people, often with charges that don't stick and are later dismissed, has not apparently detained the person in question in that video.
And that really calls into question the entire basis for the brutalization that we saw.
It calls into question what they are doing here on the streets of Southern California.

Well, of course, we all remember the scenes in Minneapolis and what happened there.
And in fact, since last Monday, about a week ago, we started to see a real increase in the street arrests that we had previously seen a decline in that type of arrest after June and July of 2025.
Over the last week, calls to our legal hotline for people who've been detained by ICE have more than tripled.
So we are certainly feeling that 45-day surge that's been announced by the administration.
But I think it's also important for listeners to note that we have continued to see high levels of enforcement throughout this administration.
Currently, there are more than 65,000 people in ICE prisons across the country.
We continue to see people who go in for immigration appointments, for regular check-ins with ICE, people who are doing everything that is being asked of the government to regularize their status being targeted.
So the plans for mass deportation by this administration have never slowed down.
And what we're starting to see over the last week is an increase in these FLASHY STREET ARRESTS, THE RACIAL PROFILING, THE WARRANTLESS ARRESTS THAT ARE HAPPENING IN OUR STREETS.
