911 George Bush First Pitch and Bald Howard Stern

But today is kind of a—you know what it is today, Smitty? It's kind of a somber day, I think is the way to put it, because we record this on 9-11— 2026, the 25th anniversary of maybe the worst day that anyone can ever remember as far as, you know, America and the mood in America and how it was affected by those.

puke-faced sons-of-bitch pilot hijackers from wherever they're from.

They were assholes, and they're dead.

So that's all we can say about that.

But you see the pictures of those guys, and you hate them forever because they killed so many people, innocent people, for no reason back 25 years ago today.

Now, I don't know if you remember exactly where you were, Smitty, on that day, but...

Who doesn't forget? Right.

Well, that's it.

On a day like that, you know, you take notice.

I had called Chach, you know, the producer of the morning show, Dennis and Callahan show.

And I called him about something, maybe a scheduling thing about when I was going to fill in or something.

I called him right around when that story was erupting.

Mm-hmm.

And I got him on the phone.

I called the hotline at EEI.

And I said, oh, Chacha.

And he goes, OK.

And then he says, I got to run.

He goes, we got these planes crashing in New York City.

I said, OK.

And I didn't know.

I just let him go.

I said, OK, bye.

Because I knew he had, you know, Chacha's a serious producer, very good producer.

And then I turn on the TV and I see all this stuff going on with the planes in New York.
