Last week was Cornerstone Sunday, and we did something a little bit different this year.

And I announced that we're purchasing several acres from the Circle of Care, which was formerly referred to as the Methodist Home.

We're located right across the street from the high school and the middle school.

But to use our location to its full potential, we need to acquire the land that's next to us in order to build.

So we are purchasing the Methodist home gym, the pond, the RV park, and all the land that's north of our building.

In fact, it actually goes a little bit further um let's see west about halfway to the bus barn but anyways we're doing all of that and this is what we plan on doing with it we're going to remodel the methodist home gym and we're going to turn it into a student union the gym has approximately 13 000 square feet so we're going to renovate the existing gym into a dedicated student and discipleship facility with six classrooms, a multipurpose court for basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and foursquare, an outdoor and an indoor worship and gathering space, a midweek ministry space for youth services, and a commercial kitchen.

We're also going to build a family life center that's attached to the student union.

It will have approximately 31,500 square feet, with two full-size basketball courts, a concession stand, a common area for conferences and seminars, and a 12-lane bowling alley.

But the lanes and the equipment for bowling won't be installed until the third phase.

There will be outdoor pickleball courts, a sand volleyball court, a softball field with bleachers, and a children's playground.

We'll have a covered walkway from our church to the Student Union and the Family Life Center.

with a small gathering space in the middle of the pond for fishing and relaxing, and maybe a few outdoor weddings.

We'll also have a walking path around the pond, and two and a half laps will equal a mile.
