When Jesus Christ was born into the world, God chose not to announce the arrival of the Messiah through religious councils, temple priests, or legalistic scribes. Instead, the announcement was written…
Yeah, there's a lot of comments, people thinking that the stars are demonic.
If the stars have influence, if you allow them to influence you, that you are somehow making yourself subject to it like it's an evil thing.
So if the stars influence you, then it's evil.
So I guess that connotation is that the stars have a negative connotation.
So no, like none of those Christian comments said that they would influence you for good or that they would, you know, have a positive influence on you.
In fact, most said that they were even demons, that the stars were demons.
Yeah.
Yeah.
A lot of people think that when they see lights moving in the heavens, even in like the UFO movement, paranormal movement.
They're trying to say that everything you see that's lighting up in the sky is demonic.
So it's kind of, it's probably always been that way.
But I guess it's it's kind of cycled back around to be a popular topic that lights in the sky are demons and devils, when we think they could be angels, quite the opposite.
So I wanted to share a scripture that I actually kind of found something new when I was researching for this podcast.
It's Deuteronomy 419, "...unless thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the hosts of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them and serve them, which thy Lord thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven." And the two words that stuck out to me in the scripture were serve, which I pulled up in the Strong's Concordance.
Serve is the Hebrew word abad, and it means to work, serve, enslave, to be kept in bondage.
So this scripture where it says you should be driven to worship them and serve them, it means to be in bondage to them.
So like, for instance, when you see in a horoscope, someone has predicted the planetary movements are going to stir up strife or anger in someone or in your life.
it doesn't mean to give in to that it doesn't mean to bow down and just accept that it just means if you know that you're prone to anger you can be on your guard against it
yeah
so it kind of gives you a guide and helps you because these planets and stars and things they do influence us and we're going to see that later in another scripture um and the second part is To serve them, speaking of the heavenly bodies, which the Lord thy God hath divided unto all nations.
And the word divided means to be smooth as smooth stones that were used for lots.
So these things were created... just as the stones were created to be used for lots, to be used in divination, to be used for the influence.
And you'll see again later in more scriptures that we are taught to study them, to look at them, to see the signs, to understand the influences, not so that we can bow down and just give into it, because it gives us a little roadmap to kind of help us navigate life.
Yeah, which, you know, kind of seems like what happened, especially with that scripture of bowing down and serving them.
When in reality, when we look at the scriptures, it seems like they're here to serve us.
