NY's Sports Loud Mouth 10-15-26

All right, let's get into some New York Jets talk.

They play the New England Patriots this week in week six.

And the Patriots obviously home.

They might be getting A.J. Brown back.

We'll see.

He was activated off IR.

Big question with the Jets offense, though, against a Patriots defense that even without Christian Gonzalez has still played very well.

And the defense for the Jets, which has played well at times, but not great at other times, has to set the tone against a Drake May that has been hot recently, too.

But Q, the story you brought up to me was Will McDonald trade rumors have been heating up.

They've been linked to trade speculation, especially if the Jets do end up losing this week.

Obviously, McDonald on the last year of his contract, they might get a fifth year option for him.

But.

If the Jets are sellers at the deadline, with how well David Bailey is, maybe they move on if they don't want to give him those big bucks.

Well, is he worth a first-round draft pick? That's the question.

Will McDonald's been up and down since he's come to the New York Jets, and I'm interested to see what the Jets could get for him if they decide to move him.

obviously the Jets aren't just going to give them away.

Nobody's just going to give away a young, talented player like Will McDonald.

He can get to the quarterback.

He's got great bend.

A lot of Jet fans like the kid.

But again, the Jets have $128 million next year.

They might be looking at bringing in a veteran pass rusher that could be available in next offseason.

So they're going to invest more money into veterans next year than people would probably think because of the money that they're going to have.

Now, They're also going to have a ton of draft stock.

They have three first-round draft picks next year.
