Garrett Wilson

So the way I read this is you're getting two touchdowns and a field goal is what Vegas thinks of this Jets team in this matchup.

And this is a game that I expect Garrett Wilson to play very, very well.

Um, and I expect Garrett Wilson to score a touchdown, and so that really only leaves the potential for one other touchdown on the board here, and you would think it should go to Breece Hall.

But I just think that there's not a lot of meat on the bone for a team that, you know, is gonna be in a, a, a script where it's gonna be probably a very ball control game.

It's gonna be sloppy.

It's really looking rough for them, and it could get ugly, and I'm essentially of mind, hey, attack the Titans offense, attack Cam Ward until he proves otherwise.

It's like he's not gotten the graduation from the rookie cap into year two.

And then on the other side of that game flow control, I could see it where they get up because of Garrett Wilson, and then we're milking and icing the game because of Breece Hall.

And Drake London, man, he f- now finds himself, in my opinion, more so as this low-end wide receiver two.

He's with Tedarrell McMillan, Garrett Wilson, Jamison Williams.

And if you wanna start those guys ahead of him, I really don't think it's ridiculous.

Garrett Wilson is awesome.

The quarterback play's been terrible, and now he gets Geno, so I think G- Garrett Wilson's in store for a big year, and do you think he has a big game against Tennessee?

His h- his offensive coordinator, who has, uh, g- gotten some shade this off-season, maybe the past two off-seasons, Frank Wright, called him a bell cow.

You don't hear, often hear that about a wide receiver-

Geno talks about how he's open on every play, and something Garrett Wilson said, uh, on NFL Network struck me as interesting.

Uh, we have a couple guys in the chat.

We have our Romeo Dobbs guy, and we have Jacob Crater, who, who like Garrett Wilson.

So I wanna talk about Garrett Wilson here.

I am playing his over 60 and a half receiving yards, minus 111.

He should be a target monster for Geno Smith, who kind of locks in on that, on that number one, uh, primary receiver.

And remember, he had Justin Fields throwing to him, and Justin Fields as a passing quarterback is not Geno Smith.

And I mean, neither are amazing options, but Geno Smith is a much better thrower, uh, in the NFL than Justin Fields is.

Last year, uh, Garrett Wilson had a 31% target share in the first six weeks, then he got hurt, then, you know, uh, that was the end of Garrett Wilson.

gosh this dude looks so good i'm so excited uh watching him last week was like that is a complete wide receiver ryan day was not messing around when he said that so kind of off the cuff and flippantly and it was almost like felt like man that's kind of irresponsible no it's true he is uh he is a dog man and

they're talking about it nationally um i think we were talking we were sitting next to each other at the game last week obviously i think I may have said something like, this is Garrett Wilson.

He looks like Garrett Wilson out there.

Other people, Ryan Day even said Chris Olave was the name that he mentioned, I believe, this week.

And he's got the same size as those guys.

Now, that being said, I do like Reese Hall and his PPR-type floor that he has with this team.

I like Garrett Wilson.

I think it's going to be a funnel offense towards him.

And I do like Wandel Robinson and Tony Pollard for the Tennessee Titans.

I think they're better than the Titans.

And maybe I'm, I've been hearing so much locally here where I am, Doug, about how explosive this jet offense can be with everybody healthy and Gino actually having an offensive line and Garrett Wilson and Omar Cooper and Breece Hall and on and on and on.

So maybe I'm buying in a little bit that at least for week one with everyone healthy, that there might be able to score some points.

So that's kind of where my lean is not the biggest.

And you don't need a lot from that game in order for Gino to hit.

So Garrett Wilson, I pulled this up yesterday in the player grid, but across the last year, Take every wide receivers last 25 games and then filter out Devante Adams games with the Jets right where Garrett Wilson wasn't the alpha.

So Garrett Wilson's last 25 games without Devante Adams, every other wide receivers last 25 games across the NFL, only Jamar Chase and Amon Ross St.

Brown have more targets per game than Garrett Wilson.

So we know that he's going to command targets in this offense, and I think Geno can get him the ball.

But yeah, Geno's kind of the guy down low.

like

other people who are paying for flex players in this price range are not, you know, they're outscoring Colston Loveland.

I think people don't realize how Frank Reich and Geno Smith are two things that haven't had.
