Meanwhile, the Dodgers have confirmed that Shohei Ohtani will be in the lineup for Game 3.

To football, according to the NFL Network's Ian Rappaport and Mike Garofalo, the Rams have cut kicker Harrison Mevis.

He had a field goal blocked in overtime last night against the Bills.

Also, Rams lineman Alaric Jackson has been suspended for two games for punching Bills past rusher Bradley Chubb after last night's game ended.

A tough one on Monday night.

I think Sean McVay's still mad at Harrison Mevis, even though they released him.

So he had a lot of things to say about the kicker, uh, after the game.

... for the Rams.

And, um, you know, the way in there, very UFC style, is gonna be decided, uh, to one side.

Uh, Harrison Mevis apparently spending a bit more time on Instagram, uh, than being able to make, uh, some kicks.

Sean McVay basically pointed the finger to the spe- special teams unit, said that unit cost us the game.

Uh, and then the news came out, "Yeah, we're gonna go ahead and we're gonna cut Harrison Mevis," uh, who I believe they listed as 5'11", 240-something, to which Troy Aikman said, "Uh, he's a little bigger than that." And he's gone.

And then you start to look at what the Rams issues have been over the past couple of years, and it's been pointed out that special teams has been a problem to where they don't really prioritize that as much as maybe other teams do because they're focused on the other sides of the ball.

And so it's just another example of Sean McVay having to make a change.

He had to bring in Harrison Mevis last year because there was issues with their, with their kicking and special teams and whatnot.

And it just goes to show you anybody who thinks they could just go into an NFL season, pick a winner, that's gonna be the team, it just never pans out that way.

And then...

Some fallout from that wild Bills-Rams Monday nighter in LA, which we spent quite a bit of time on yesterday.

End of the line for Harrison Mevis, the kicker kicker no longer with the Rams, uh, as they, he was released, and the Rams are, uh, adding Blake Grupe off the Jets practice squad.

Mevis, of course, had the partially blocked field goal in overtime, and then the Bills would eventually win that game.

Sean McVay saying he appreciated Mevis' contributions, but ultimately we need better production, and that's what we're hoping to get from Blake.

And I think, you know, defensively-wise, you know, wasn't great for either team.

But again, it's that fine margin, and it's those Mevis kicks.

I mean, you had the two missed field goals, one of them in overtime, which was gonna be the kick that would've won them the game, you know.

That was the kind of...

I think, I think it was blocked from memory.

Um, and it was, yeah, and that just goes down to those fine margins, not just for, for wins and losses.

And that's what you see, and you mentioned it then, Mevis being cut.

I mean, it's those little fine margins where if he'd got that kick, he would've, they would've won the game.
