Listeners and viewers of the show will know that I am a Canes enjoyer, second only to my St. Louis Blues, of course.
But any year that the Blues can't win it, I'll be rooting for Carolina to get it done.
really happy with, with the end results feels like after a long time of this team being good and being in the conversation and getting pretty far, they have finally broken through.
Yeah, to me as a, um, somewhat more neutral observer of the Carolina hurricanes, they kind of feel like a, um, perhaps less historic version of the, like, Colorado Avalanche of the East in that they were, you know, so good for so long, perhaps not the same style of hockey team, I guess I should say.
But at least in terms of the narrative, you know, had been so good for so long, but consistently came up short in the playoffs.
But anyways, yeah, I mean, I think the finals themselves, the individual games were really great.
I think a lot of the, there was just a lot of, really back and forth hockey and, and, you know, all you could hope for when you're drawing up a playoff game pretty much.
So I think the, the hurricanes this year, um, you know, the way they, they predicated their success is very interesting and kind of, I think, contrary model to how we've seen winners of previous, uh, Stanley cups, which, um, could have some ripple effects this offseason.
