So, you know, all condolences to Lane Johnson, and I hope he's able to enjoy retirement more than, you know, the circumstances may allow him to.

But then the very next day, the Eagles turn around and they trade their center, Cam Juergens, to the Baltimore Ravens for a 20-28 second round pick and some more late round swaps.

And sitting there at 2-2, could the Eagles be on the downturn? They have a huge cap bill coming with Johnson's retirement.

Maybe the Eagles finally decide to take their medicine and do a cap reset just like the 49ers had to a couple of years ago.

And if that's the case, the Eagles will need to bleed talent from this roster, which opens up opportunities for lots of teams around the San Francisco.

So who could the 49ers acquire if the Eagles decide to become sellers at the trade deadline? Well, the first name that I am immediately drawn to is Mauro Ojomo, the defensive tackle, former 7th round pick in 2023.

Ojomo was a guy I liked coming out of Texas, but not even I thought that he would be this good.

He is yet another defensive tackle to come through Philly, get a big contract, and after developing phenomenally.

And now it's Mauro Ojomo, who is, you know, he's on the last year of his deal, right? He's going to be a free agent at the end of the season.
