G1 Climax 36 Finals

let's start where is the let's start at the top i think we need to start at the top because the uh the bottom involves uh maybe a mr rio high but uh yeah i'm happy to start at the top of you are with uh mr kenosuke takeshita Who, the RR, he's back on my good books.

I don't think he was fully in my bad books, Mr.

Guy.

I was just, sometimes they're like the Super Cena kind of booking, you know what I mean? Or the Super Okada kind of booking, kind of just, it just grates me.

It doesn't matter who the wrestler is.

It could be for wrestlers I like, and it kind of just makes me go, hmm, like Kota Ibushi or Hiromu Takahashi, who are two wrestlers I really like.

But I don't know.

It's just I think I got to the point of the tournament where I'm just like, all right.

It was after we recorded, Mr.

Guy, after we recorded our just past halfway episode of G1, or maybe just before or something, I watched.

We spoke about this, man.

We wanted this, and it happened.

I wanted Shingo Takagi to beat Takeshita.

Let's set up a TV title match.

And even if they go a different direction later at the time, I was just like, that's what I want.

Let's, let's do this.

And then Shingo fucking beats him.

And I was like, you know what? All right.

Okay.

All right.

I think I can just, and then, uh, and then just another surprise.

I didn't, uh, I mean like the tournament goes how it goes, but I didn't know at the time.

So I didn't expect he would have beaten me either.

So, uh, yeah i think there were guys i like suji yeah he could beat anyone he's a champ there's maybe one or two guys in this block i thought would beat takeshita and didn't so i'm quite happy that it's shingo takagi uh they uh takagi always needs a story to get something to do and i think iwa needs to be bumped up and i think they bumped him up i don't i think uh i think he's great i kind of i think everybody knows he's great so they all want to hire him at the same time and uh he's making money uh i just kind of wish that new japan would just be like hey you want to stay here they don't got the cheese like that luke's no they definitely do not but uh the fact that we've had him i guess for two g ones in a row and all that kind of stuff so uh yeah i don't know he was he was great every match of his was fantastic even if i was just like oh man again but uh

What did you think? I thought he was very giving as a wrestler.
