Guests: Sig Rogich, President Rogich Communications Part Two
Sig RogichGuestSam SchaafHostAnd back on Nevada Newsmakers, this is part two of my interview with Sig Rogich, the legendary president of Rogich Communications.
So we're seeing a big merger that's been accomplished now, where Paramount has taken over Warner Brothers Discovery.
There was a lot of concern about this merger that they would be concentrating too much power into one entity, which is now called Skydance.

The attorney general in California made a big ado about it and then finally caved in, as our attorney general did here.

So now they allowed it, and what did they get? They got a guarantee they're gonna spend a billion five more in California, I think, to do production.

The only people that screamed about it were the actors and actresses and some of the directors and producers themselves.

Because with these things come efficiencies, and so instead of having a producer and six executive producers that all get a piece of the pie, above the line they call it, you know, in Hollywood, above the line and below the line, If you invest, you never want to be below the line because you never get any money out of it.

I see Jane Fonda said something the other day and I thought, well, that means it's a good deal.
Well, Governor Newsom actually went to the Attorney General in California and forced him to accept the deal because Skydance was threatening to move the entire company out of California and had made advances to other states to move there.

Anything coming from Governor Newsom, Californians have to look back and think, this is the worst governor in the history of our state.

He's done more harm to California than any elected official in the history of California.
