I'm your host, Craig Kennedy, and this time I am joined by the mighty Gary Prince.

And if you're in the extreme metal world at all, you probably know one of Gary's projects.

He plays in bands like Caranare and Memorage and Gone Mage and Homeskin and Salamoth, which is the one that we mostly talk about in this episode.

It was just kind of wild interviewing Gary because I've been a fan of his work for a really long time.

I also guested on one of the Gone Mage records in the early 2020s, but my fandom of his work goes way back to probably about 2012 or 2013.

I remember being at Vintage Vinyl in Fords, New Jersey, where I picked up a copy of Portals to a Better Dead World by Cara Nier.

And I remember getting home and putting that record on and just being totally blown away by the insane mix of like post-black metal and grindcore and crust punk and a little bit of hardcore and a little bit of just straight up death metal.

You know, I was in my early 20s and was just kind of getting into the more extreme side of things.

All that being said, let's get into the interview and listen to what Gary has to say.
