It's kind of the way the Gospels saw, you know, retold of what they saw when they were walking with Jesus.

So in the Gospel of John, there was actually some other ministry that Jesus did before this.

It says in his timeline, the wedding at Cana, more baptisms in the Jordan, things like that kind of came before this.

But this is something that Matthew, the author of this gospel, is drawing our attention to.

He's drawing his perspective, his point, his theme was presenting Jesus as the king.

Jesus as the king who's going to take the Davidic throne, the promised Messiah throne.

The people that were reading this gospel right here at the time, they would have known.

He wouldn't have to like read the whole, like for us it's chapters, you know, chapters and divisions and subheadings, things like that in our Bibles.
