In the Footsteps of the Messiah: Archaeology of the Time of Jesus and the Apostles

Have you heard about Caiaphas and the priests from his time.

Okay, well, I have to tell you, there's too

much, too much

that archaeologists are uncovering every year.

Every year when they go to the Holy Land and they make excavations, they bring up new information about the Bible.

New information about the time of the apostles, the time of the prophets, the time of the kings of Israel.

That's very interesting.

And we get to discover that little by little.

God is such a good teacher because He is like having a lot of boxes and he opens one box at the time and he brings up new discoveries.

So I have a box right here.

Some of the things that I brought from the Hoare Museum to show you.

Okay, so for anybody interested in looking carefully to this, I have, for instance, these replicas of a seal, an ancient seal.

These are replicas from an ancient seal, okay? I'm gonna put this in the table, and how that works is you have the seal, these are the impressions of the seals, and you have the seals, which are pieces of stones like this.

And we talk about the seal of the King Hezekiah yesterday, last night, we talked about that.

And we have seals made of a stone that look like something like that.

So they roll over the clay to produce those impressions.

So I'm gonna leave that there.

Somebody wants to take a look at that.

And also I have, a tablet here a tablet this is a tablet well it's a replica of a tablet how people used to write in ancient times how people used to keep record of everything.

They have tablets of clay and they got sticks and with those sticks they make impressions on the clay and they wrote many things like marriage contracts.

Somebody selling or buying something.

Everything they recorded here.

Somebody wanted to make sure they keep track of how much they have in the storage.

They put all of that there.

Somebody wanted to bring offerings to the gods.
