Sugar Rush Movie Draft

So when we were coming up with drafts today, we came up with a theme called Sugar Rush for October.

So these are movies, I'll use an example that's probably gonna get drafted for sure.

My theory was a movie like Suspiria.

Mm.

High style, uh, audacious colors, oppressive soundtrack, crazy, insane images.

Maybe not the most dense, uh, narratively.

Not a lot of introspection, not a lot of lessons to be learned, just a full force.

We're using all of the tools cranked up to 11, fun horror movies.

So in that regard, as we start this Sugar Rush list, which may be a little amorphous, Sophia, what will you be looking for?

I have to look at my list now.

I'm, so my movies are just kind of fucking absurd.

Yes.

And there's a lot of, like, insane stuff happening in the movie.

Um, if you were to read the script, it probably wouldn't be something you'd be interested in.

But watching the movie, because of how it's shot, you're like, "Oh, you know what? This is a wild fucking ride."

Yes.

And, like, they did something crazy here that made it work.

Um, so I think creative filmmaking.

... maybe a narratively light script.
