Men of a Certain X EP 429. Bad losses - concerts and football, plus the VMAs

All right, Andy, let me talk about my losing weekend here.

So, you know, obviously everyone knows about my affinity for Penn State football.

When we had a new coach I was optimistic, started off 3-0.

Um, so that, that was a...

They were playing Wisconsin, who they should have, they should beat, right? And then they, they should...

It was at home.

Wisconsin's a meh type of team.

You know, so I, I felt pretty optimistic about the game, and that was on at, you know, 5:00 on, on Saturday.

But you know, earlier, you know, Ole Miss, my daughter's school from last year, they were playing.

Uh, they w- they played Florida, which I hate Florida for a lot of different reasons.

Yeah.

And I thought Ole Miss was gonna stomp Florida, and Ole Miss just got worked over bad.

So, like, I'm feeling bad about that.

Then Penn State comes on at 5:00.

A weird start time, but nonetheless 5:00.

Um, and they're up 17-nothing, and they're pretty much dominating the game.

Even late in the game when it got a little closer there, you still had chances to just put the game away.

And then under a minute left, or a minute and a half left, the Wisconsin hits a 75-yard touchdown pass to win.

And I'm d- like, I'm like fucking pissed, and so I'm like mad, and then my other son, my other son's team and my daughter's now new team, South Carolina, the Gamecocks, they played Alabama, and that was just a shit show.

So like those were like, like so already I'm like a loser on Saturday.

Probably Saturday, yeah.

All Saturday games were like just bad week.

And then I go to Sunday, and the Cowboys are playing the Ravens in Rio, and this was an amazing game.

Yeah.

It was just an amazing game.
