Which Free Agent Should Each NHL Team Sign?

I think we had a lot of fun last year.

I guess before I lay out the parameters and before we get to teams, I'm just curious.

So this will be the second year that we're doing this, your thoughts on this year versus doing it last year.

kind of the overall exercise and everything, because I had a thought as I was going through it.

So be curious what you, what you kind of might've come away with in the overall landscape.

So our parameters, our rules that we were trying to stick to.

First, every team has to have a different free agent for each of us.

So I had to use 32 unique players.

James had to use 32 unique players.

We actually did end up only repeating a player to a team, I think, in one instance.

So we really tried to go with a little bit of a different rationale argument for each player.

Second, the player can not be resigned to their current team or organization.

So for example, we could not have Alex Ovechkin as the Washington capitals free agent.

Not, we could have put them anywhere else.

We didn't have to use them.

We'll get there at the very end of the episode and we'll see if, if we used him or not, but he could not be resigned to the capitals.

After that, it was trying to figure out fit, taking into account the current roster situation as well as the cap space with minimal maneuvering needed.

I originally had said it as no maneuvering, and then I broke my own rules, so...

Minimal maneuvering, like a very logical way to fit them in the salary cap structure was kind of the thought there.

So before we get into the teams, curious if you had any overarching thoughts doing this exercise with this class versus doing it last year with last year's unrestricted free agent class.
