In this episode of the Marketing Boost Solutions Podcast, Capt. Marco Torres sits down with Chris Pistorius, founder of Kickstart Dental Marketing, to uncover one of the biggest mistakes businesses…
Why do you say dental practices, or for that matter, I could probably apply this same question to any service business, why do you think they don't actually need more leads?
Well, we found, you know, especially over the last few years with you have so many automations and technologies available, um, that sometimes they break.
And, you know, you're, we're talking about a potential customer or a potential local business that's already spending money in marketing maybe.
Um, and w- when we see that, we see that leads are coming to them.
Um, but then they're, they're still not growing the business.
And some of your listeners, uh, watchers may resonate with or resonate with that.
So what we really dove into over the last few years, like what's going on? What's the disconnect between providing leads, them getting the leads, and then still they're not growing their business? So we looked at their systems, their follow-up processes, their speed to lead I call it, in terms of what happens when a lead comes in.
What, what's really going on there? So we really dove into that, and what we found is that a lot of these local businesses didn't necessarily have a marketing problem or a, you know, a, a leads problem, but they had more of a can't follow up with, with the leads on time, or they can't follow up at all, or, you know, they might talk to 'em once and then don't follow up again.
And then maybe the cl- customer tells them no and there's no nurture sequence in place.
There's no, you know, reactivation type campaigns.
And so what I try to tell businesses of all is that, you know what, you need to look at what you have already and see if there's stuff there.
And what I mean by stuff is potential leads and businesses that you've already paid for in the past, but you just need to reengage with.
That could be your low-hanging fruit.
So that's really what I mean about, you know, some businesses may not need more marketing or more leads.
Yeah, they need a system.
They need a CRM.
They need a, a-
Yeah
... a process of automation to, you know, put people in different buckets of where theyWhere they belong and so forth, so, um-
Yeah, and, and Marco, to, to back that up, you talk about automations and all these marketing automations that are out there.
When we start diving into these things, we find some of them are broken, and people don't realize it, you know? And you've got so many automations, sometimes you don't even forget how you set things up and, you know, you don't have the time to check to make sure that they're working.
So it's almost kind of a job to make sure your automations are doing the things that they're supposed to as well.
Right.
Uh, how true is that? Um, so you probably just kinda covered my next question, and what you just-
