GLENCOE TALK EP883

Uh, hey, you know, we've got some announcements.

Yeah.

We are going to have Brandon Frankfurth, uh, city of Glencoe public works director.

What are a couple of the topics, uh, you're gonna maybe discuss with Brandon?

Uh, so we have, uh, we have some updates on leaf pickup, uh, the new Glen Oaks lift station, also some updates on the data center and some things going on with that, so lots to talk about.

Perfect.

We'll get to him, uh, in the next segment, but I know we've got an event already happening, I believe, tomorrow, right?

It is, yep, Saturday, October 10th, uh, at Buffalo Creek BMX Track in Glencoe.

Grab your pumpkins for the Lions' Great Pumpkin Race.

Uh, there's cash prizes for the winners of age groups three to six, seven to nine, 10 to 12, 13 to six- 15, and 16 to 18.

Uh, hey, the rosary, rose, and flower sale, uh, the rotary rose and flower sale is start- uh, are taking orders now.

Uh, you can, uh, talk to Mark Larson if you want or any rotary member, uh, but they'll get those orders.

I think the delivery then is around November 5th.

Uh, you can order from red, lollipop, or a fall bouquet, or you maybe have, uh, three women in your life, you can get one of each for, for that.

That, that, that's another way that you can look at it.

Uh, let's talk real quickly before we break about the Glencoe Lions Halloween Lighting Contest.

Yeah.

It's open to residents of Glencoe.

Decorate your home with lights, spooky creatures, skeletons, uh, all of the goodies, all of the holiday goodies.

Uh, registered homes will be added to the contest webpage, uh, as they're r- r- as they are received, uh, to win Glencoe bucks.

New first-place winner every year to help keep up with the fun, growing event.

Uh, the judging will be October 28th by 10:00 PM, so have everything lit up and ready to go.

All right.
