absolutely it's been so incredible seeing the feedback from everybody and the reception the dms the messages and just like the engagement has been great and the feedback has been great and um yeah i think you know everybody was looking forward to season two and just seeing everyone's uh positive reactions have been have been awesome so i'm super blessed to be part of this universe
How familiar were you with the animation and all the other iterations? Was it something that was on your radar before you were involved with it?
I watched the original animation the second it came out back in 06, 07, 08, and watched so much of it on the road.
It was my personal piece as I was really involved in the sports at the time.
yeah it was crazy just um you know finding out the news of getting the getting the role was like i was so elated it was a long process obviously seven to eight road audition process and and then finally getting it was like just pure euphoria so um i'm just uh grateful to be a part of this
it's such a great cast too they do such a good job of bringing those characters to life um once you were in their uh in their presence and you kind of felt that whole energy um did it feel like you were uh there in in the animation with with what you uh perceived as as the world of the animation come to life
totally and this season around we went really heavy onto practical production design uh as we've been seeing you know with this coverage by avatar on their netflix page um just so much more detail and Ba Sing Se was like as big as they could make it humanly for a realistic level and like you know real cobblestones and you know you have these like hand-painted marble walls you know the Beifong house to the upper villa the lower ring just so much detail that you you like you're walking around on set and you feel like you are in Ba Sing Se and You know, especially being in Vancouver, where we have so much greenery and it naturally feels like the Earth Kingdom out here and maybe a big reason why it's on it.
But, you know, mainly due to the great cast and crew of the producers who the second i got onto set after my makeup tests brought me into the you know the the tents and seeing all the playback the footage uh yeah that helps with like getting in the universe and feeling like you're in the imagination land which is passing say
