Aang

All of the series have followed that structure.

Of course, the simplest because of Aang's journey was water, earth and fire.

And then Korra's was much more metaphysical and supernatural.

Mm hmm.

I'll phrase it that way.

It's the starting point with having a cataclysmic event is maybe the biggest similarity to Avatar The Last Airbender, right? The Fire Nation attacked.

Aang went into his energy bubble and a hundred years went by and obviously things got worse for the world.

Absence of an Avatar.

Oh, that's adorable.

And he had a Toph and Aang plushie strapped to his back like they were riding him.

maybe yeah i did watch it as it actively aired so maybe that's yeah yeah and i did

too i did too but yeah i just um yeah like don't get me wrong like i like pavi a lot um forgot the other one's name nisha nisha nisha not as much but i think that's kind of the point um you know i like the cast like it's you know it's solid uh i just feel like we didn't get a whole lot and now granted like korra season one was kind of like that too right you kind of wanted uh at least i remember when i saw season one of korra i'm like Where's Aang? Give me Aang.

Like, we got to get these Aang parts to show up.

And we just didn't get a lot of that.

Yeah, and that bothers me, because no other Avatar had to do that.

You know what I mean? That's like a

whole plot point for Aang.

I was living in New York for so long and I came back to Virginia because of the pandemic.

And so getting to spend that time with her, watching that, and then going straight into Korra right after, I'm texting her the whole time since Avatar Aang, the last Airbender movie, came out on Paramount+.

I'm like, have you seen it yet? Have you seen it yet? Seven Havens comes out.

I'm like, by the way... there's a new avatar out and she's like in her, she's 12 now.

Keep her as calm as possible.

And,

you know, as they come out of this... interesting bit where like it looks like rava kind of saved pubby's life uh there's a little bit of a that at least that's what the internet's theory is there's a little bit of a glowing whitish greenish uh spirit that covers pubby and it kind of heals her leg as she comes out of the rocks which once again makes me think Roku sucks so much that even Rava didn't like Roku because she saved Aang in the iceberg.

She saves Puffy under the rocks.

And so the options are we deal with the lice.

Or, hey, Tyler, you want to go as Aang from Avatar? And we shave his head.

We paint the blue arrow on his forehead.

And it was easily the best costume of the year.

Absolutely amazing.

And the pictures are phenomenal, right? Because he looked exactly like Aang because he had completely bald head at the age of seven.

Anyway, so I thought that was a double win.

The OG Avatar, of course, better.

Was like, you know, in the movies, out of the movies, you know, I wasn't, you know, so I kind of mixed the two up.

Now, just remind me, did you like Aang the Last Airbender? Yeah, so it took me a

while to get to that one, but I loved it.

I thought it was really good.

In the third season where the gang goes to the Fire Nation and Aang has to hide amongst the Fire Nation kids...

I remember watching that episode.

I remember thinking, hey, these Fire Nation kids aren't bad.
