We're honoring the life of Priestess Miriam, who was born September 10th, 1943, same day as Marie Laveau, and died August 16th, 2026.

So, Priestess Miriam Chamano, Mambo and co-founder of the Voodoo Spiritual Temple on North Rampart Street, died on Sunday, August 16th after a brief illness.

We send our condolences to her husband, the environmentalist, Alan Villeneuve, her priest and drummer, Louis Martinier, Mishen Linden and all the members and devotees of the Buddha's spiritual temple.

So Dr. Louis Martigny, or however, is celebrating being the content editor for Black Moon Publishing for 50 years.

A priest had drummer's hand, Black Moon, and Dr. John Montigny, a grimoire, Black Moon.

Though he has been in service to the New Orleans Voodoo Spiritual Temple for 35 years, he's a drummer, elder, and spiritual doctor.

Drum recordings include Ritual Drumming, Voodoo, drum tracks for the movie The Skeleton Key.

He's received three grants from Xavier University in New Orleans to use drum rhythms to teach communication skills to persons with severe profound handicaps.

Louis has spent a year on sabbatical with Thubten Norbu, an elder brother to the 14th Dalai Lama, studying how Tibetans teach kindness to their children.

He is an honorary member of the Louisiana State Legislature and a democratic socialist in the tradition of New York City's Mayor Zoran Mamdani.

Yes, he is bi-local due to climate change, right? Spending part of the year in New Orleans and a part of the year in Cincinnati, which is the largest city close to the Great Serpent Mound.
