The Odyssey

Well, Ted, a couple of things we got to talk about today.

First, first, first is I need I do need to know your your opinions on the the current cultural the cultural movement right now going around, which is Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey.

I need to know as as someone who I know has seen some Christopher Nolan films and I've heard I think we've discussed him before.

Yeah.

Where does the interest of the Odyssey fall for you? And also, have you been hearing any of the hype kind of surrounding this film on your?

Well, yes and yes.

And here's why.

In and of myself, I would have no interest in the Odyssey.

but for the fact that world media hired me to write about it.

And so I went to see it and it was three hours long.

It felt like three weeks.

I was bored out of my mind, even though it was quantifiably like... a spectacular effort um it looked really cool and i just hate chris nolan movies they're they're all showing no go for me i'm not a nolan guy dude i couldn't tell you one chris nolan movie that i'm like yeah let's throw that in let's re-watch that um i'm just not into him well at the same time I can assent to the fact intellectually that he's a certain kind of genius.

Like what he does, he does really well.

It's just not for me.

Okay.

So a couple of things made this hard for me.

All right.

So sword and sandal just as a time period is kind of hard for me.

Sure.

I struggle with sword and sandal.

Even if it's

fake sword

and sandal.

Even if it's fake sword and sandal, I have no interest in Greek epic poetry.

And that's a glitch, not a feature.
