I don't think Tom Cruise can really make a movie that's that bad, that doesn't have some sort of underlying meaning, if you will.

I think people should go into it without looking on social media, without reading reviews.

But, um, what I did want to talk about today was, you know, Tom Cruise's name is normally synonymous with blockbuster openings, but you know, this one is kind of dug itself a major hole.

Uh, For those that don't know, Digger is an R-rated dark comedy from Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu.

And then he tries to convince the world that he's the only person that can save it.

I don't want to talk any more about it, but I will say his co-star Riz Ahmed is really, really good in the film.

It's got John Goodman, character actor Michael Stuhlbarg, and Jesse Plemons.

And I think it's worth seeing, and I'll tell you just a few reasons why it's an interesting story.

So this is Tom Cruise's first original non-franchise movie since american made in 2017 and he's been doing mission impossible and top gun uh and this was sort of i think his way of reminding audiences you know i could still disappear into a strange transformative character um instead of playing a conventional action here and i'm sure that's sort of the vibe you got from the trailers right
