and allow them to roam the streets at night, or roam the roads at night if you're in an area that's not particularly urban, so you don't refer to the roads as streets.

People who live not in cities, people who live in the countryside where they have roads, they got to the countryside using roads.

It's usually roads going at least all the way up to the gate of their property.

Often there's a little muddy laneway going from the gateway to the house, but that's still some water road.
