S.19 E.18 – Travis Moseley of Colorblind

It's interesting because, um, what is it? I- it's kinda wild because you've been a band since what, 2017, if my memory's correct?

Yeah, the b- the band has been a band since 2017.

Yeah.

I joined, I joined in, I think my first single with the band was in 2018.

And then-

So

... y- you've already also built this passionate following.

I, I, I talked about that, too, and, and you've toured so much.

You've crossed, what is it? 30 million streams.

Dude, pat yourself on the back.

I know you're talking about working your ass off, and I get that.

[laughs]

I can e- I can even see the stress in your face, but take a, take a moment to congratulate yourself on that.

I feel like that's something that we forget to do along the way.

I'm, I'm guilty of it.

I mean, 2020 has taught me so much shit that I never had been involved in before.

All that, right? Yet this is somehow your debut album.

Having said all that, having what I just said, do you feel like waiting this long makes this record stronger now? Like, you could have maybe released this years ago.

Who knows? But all this wait, it just feels like it's that much more impactful, it's that much more stronger because all this wait, all this anticipat- anticipation, excuse me, and all the hard work you put into it.

Yeah.

I mean, absolutely.

I, I mean, dude, I just think we wanted to wait because we wanted to have the r- we wanted it to have the right support.

Mm-hmm.

And I think like obviously the way we were viewing it in this day and age, it's like singles and EPs sort of as a young band are the way to go.

Mm-hmm.
