Not a whole ton of editing goes on, so it's just kind of a little more free form.
CalebHOST

This month, we are talking about Saosin.
CalebHOST
0:42
By Saosin, it's celebrated...
CalebHOST
0:43
I think a 20 year anniversary.
CalebHOST
0:45
I'm not looking at it right in front of me right now.
Meg RyanGUEST
10:54
I understand why people like them.
Meg RyanGUEST
10:56
People who are into bands like Sayosin, Circus Revive, like the high pitched male vocalists.
Meg RyanGUEST
11:01
I can appreciate the talent there, but I've never super been into that sound.
Meg RyanGUEST
11:05
If someone puts it on when I'm around, like I won't complain and I'd even enjoy it.
Lance HaleHOST

Right.

I think when we had disbanded, uh, after Tyson's passing, our original lead vocalist, we really didn't think we were gonna get back together, and then, uh, it happened really naturally and we brought Cove back, Cove Reber, who pl- uh, who is the vocalist of Saosin, and, um, a lot of people who were close with Tyson and the band in the past.
Pouyan AfkaryGUEST
5:12
And so we kind of made it a, a way that felt good to come back or right to come back.
Pouyan AfkaryGUEST
5:18
And seeing the amazing response that we had from the shows, the community that we had, uh, joining us i- in these performances was actually kind of mind-blowing and really made us feel like this is something that we needed to bring back.
speaker_2HOST
24:37
Um, [chuckles] I saw someone that said, "The Vans Warped Tour is back.
speaker_2HOST
24:44
Saosin and Chiodos are putting out music again.
speaker_2HOST
24:48
I think I've stepped into a, a time machine to 2004," or some shit like that, you know what I mean? 2006.
speaker_2HOST
24:57
But we got two bands that I used to listen to a lot back in high school who, I don't know if they've technically been completely inactive, but definitely just have not been putting out music consistently, but they both put out videos and new singles as of recent.
speaker_2HOST
25:16
So figured we'd show them some love, kinda switch up the vibe a little bit.
speaker_2HOST
25:22
Saosin's a little more, um, I guess just, like, rock, if you will, and then Chiodos is definitely a little bit heavier, kinda hardcore rock.
speaker_2HOST
25:32
So we'll start with...
speaker_2HOST
25:34
You know what's funny is, if you've been watching this show for a while or listening to this show, I played Chiodos way back when in the early episodes where we were going over the case that they were using hip-hop lyrics to indict rappers and stuff like that, and I played a Chiodos song and a couple other, you know, rock songs that have pretty disturbing or sadistic lyrics, and Chiodos was one of those bands.

You follow that drive, you follow that want, you follow that desire, and look where it is now.
KevinHOST
11:34
Two solid EPs, brand new debut album coming out, tour with Saosin coming up.
KevinHOST
11:39
I mean, clearly it was worth it.
MiguelGUEST
11:41
Oh, 100%.

But we're gonna close this episode with three things.
KevinHOST
54:11
So first things first, Save Us brand new album, Death To Something, comes out October 16th, 2026.
KevinHOST
54:15
And if you're in the US, you can catch them on tour with Saosin in October, November 2026 as well.
KevinHOST
54:19
So be sure to support them by going to the description of the podcast below where it says find Save Us online, links, labels for everything for social media, where you can watch their YouTube videos, where you can stream the album and pre-save it if it's before the album release or listen to it right now if it's out right now, where you can get a physical copy, where you can get some merch.

ChrisHOST
17:03
In fact, we spoke to Saosin.
ChrisHOST
17:06
I'm just gonna roll that now and then I'll say more about them.
ChrisHOST
